As with shoes, of which we discussed a few posts ago, on shirts minimums are also recommended to build a good wardrobe that allows us to meet the most varied situations. One of the keys to when building your wardrobe is to buy clothes that support the widest possible range of combinations between them. Thus, with a relatively small investment, we can achieve many different possibilities and no one will ever have the feeling that always dress alike. Obviously, a larger number of items allowed to use each in a smaller number of cases and longer life time. But you will not need to do all one-time investment.

As for the shirts, as in the vast majority of the facets of my life, I prefer a nice shirt that three of dubious quality. Let's see how to build our wardrobe, which, of course, depend on our usual activities.

As with everything, the elegance is in the simplest things. From my point of view, the best thing is to always leave fashion and seek a more classic and timeless.

The white shirt.
Although I have heard many times that a white shirt is for weddings, I completely disagree with that idea. A white shirt is, first, the most elegant and combine able possible option as it supports any tie and the maximum number of possible combinations. I seek to have several models, playing with different grips (always a double fist), neck (preferably semi cut away cutaway and some button-down for moments of less formality) and fabrics. They are always an easy and successful. If you can only buy a nice shirt, which is white.

Other plain shirts.Before going into different patterns or stripes, it is also advisable to have plain shirts in blue and light pink, pale purple even some that also combine well with lots of ties and are colors "wildcard" when dress a more formal way (thinking particularly of the work, etc..). Are a very elegant and very easy to combine, and that support smooth ties, striped or printed and in a multitude of colors, so they are options to keep in mind when investing in shirts.

Striped shirts.To begin to introduce some variety in our closet, nothing like striped shirts. Options are always welcome in pastel blue or pink on white (or vice versa, whichever is the dominant color), as the one shown in the picture. However, the colors used are very varied, but for a more formal attire I prefer to flee from the colors too flashy.

When combined with tie, striped shirts models support regular plain or patterned to prevent unsightly continuity in the set.

Shirts.Another very good option is checked shirts, gingham whether or tatters all, or a model with hounds tooth pattern. Again, as in the case of striped shirts, whether it is formal attire is better to opt for options in light colors on white or very soft color. The way to combine with tie will be similar to that of striped shirts.

Sport shirts.It's time to let your imagination fly. Prints and colors are accepted in other circumstances are not suitable. Typically they are used without a tie so I would recommend the neck with button or, otherwise, be very careful when hanging up shirts, so that when I use the neck is firmer and placed possible (I expect that be not of those who unbutton his shirt to mid chest ...). It is advisable to use lighter colors during the day and opt for darker options at night. They are also highly recommended oxford cloth shirts and something lighter like linen for summer.

Variants.It is very common to use white cuffs and collars colored shirts (in another future post I will explain how did this combination). Although it is preferable to use soft colors shirts for minimum contrast is sometimes seen with stronger colors combinations that have a more than acceptable visual result. Also interesting are the shirts that have only white collar, leaving the cuffs of the same pattern as the rest of the shirt.

The bespoke shirt - something special under the dress shirts

Dress shirts come in all shapes and colors, but a custom made shirt is something very individual and should be easy to include for the elegant man.

A man wearing a tailored shirt, applies quickly as vain or even as snobby. Here, a tailored shirt has nothing certainly nothing to do with vanity and snobbery. A man who can tailor a custom made shirt, proves a good taste.
Of course, there are elegant and tasteful shirts, but a custom made shirt but differs in many details from traditional ready-made clothing. It is precisely cut and sewn to its carrier. It is unique.

For special shirts, for example, a dress shirt, it is always advisable to let it sew to measure.
A man of today is something that holds up, and would like to look neat and chic, which was to leave in any case make a custom made shirt.
The ladies appreciate it when a man sets value on a good appearance. It need not be an exaggeration, but a shirt that fits like a second skin and a very personal type underlines always looks better than a shirt off the rack.
